At AKRÉA, we design and produce our collections in limited-edition, exclusive batches of just 20 pieces per design. Because our inventory moves quickly and to support our slow-fashion, small-batch philosophy, we operate on a strict Store Credit & Exchange Policy.
We do not offer monetary or cash refunds unless an item is explicitly proven to be defective upon arrival. By purchasing from AKRÉA, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. The 48-Hour Notification Window
Timeline: Any request for an exchange or return for store credit must be initiated within 48 hours of delivery. Requests made after this 48-hour window will unfortunately not be accepted.
Condition: To be eligible, the garment must be completely unworn, unwashed, unaltered, undamaged, and returned with all original tags, labels, and packaging intact.
2. Size & Product Exchanges
Stock Availability: Because of our limited production run (20 units per design), size exchanges are strictly subject to stock availability.
Pre-Approval Requirement: You must contact our support team via email or WhatsApp to confirm if your desired size is available. Do not ship the item back or pay any fees until our team has formally confirmed and reserved the exchange size for you.
If the Size is Out of Stock: If your requested size is sold out, we will automatically issue you a Store Credit instead.
3. Returns & Store Credit
Store Credit: For all approved returns, we issue a digital Store Credit code equivalent to the product’s purchase value (excluding original shipping charges).
Validity: Your AKRÉA Store Credit is valid for 6 months from the date of issue and can be used across any future collection drop on our website.
Cash Refunds: Cash or bank refunds are only processed if the item delivered to you is verified as defective or damaged.
4. Mandatory Unboxing Video (For Damage/Missing Claims)
To protect our independent label against transit fraud, a 360-degree unboxing video is strictly mandatory for any claims regarding damaged garments or missing items.
The video must be raw, unedited, and continuous (no cuts, pauses, or transitions).
It must clearly capture the package from the very beginning (showing the intact, unbroken courier seal) through to the detailed inspection of the garment.
Failure to provide this continuous video will result in the immediate rejection of any damage claims.
5. Reverse Shipping & Fees
Once an exchange or return is pre-approved by our team, you have two options to return the garment to our Pune studio:
Option A (Reverse Pickup): We can arrange a reverse pickup from your address. A flat reverse-pickup fee of ₹200 applies, which must be paid online before the pickup is scheduled.
Option B (Self-Shipping): You may choose to self-ship the item back to our studio using a reliable, trackable courier service at your own expense.
6. Cancellations (For Made-to-Order Drops)
Limited Inventory Drops: Orders placed from our live limited-edition inventory can only be canceled within 4 hours of placing the order, as processing begins immediately.
Made-to-Order (MTO) Pre-Orders: For silhouettes purchased via our advance-payment Made-to-Order model, cancellations are not permitted once the 50% advance payment is processed, as fabric consumption and tailoring are customized specifically to your order.
